Welcome

My practice is essentially an exploration into the illusive elements that make up the self; I draw influence from all facets of human life, be it our everyday routines, rituals, faiths, fears, memories, knowledge. I allow my subconscious to gather information whether It’s from literature I have read, stories I’ve heard or just images and ideas that I find striking.

What fascinates me is the ways in which we piece ourselves together, how our knowledge and experiences effect how we perceive the world and each other. I attempt to describe through my paintings the ineffable, the intangible, something unresolved or undiscovered; the works are often described as paused narratives waiting silently to unravel.

I hope to create within the audiences mind a sense of intrigue and an urge to decipher the content. I hope that the paintings strike a chord somewhere within their own makeup or memory.
